New research topic on industry-academia-research cooperation: "Research and development of a new energy-saving device for testing the performance of cold and hot air distributors"

With the increasing demands for indoor environments and energy efficiency in air conditioning, the types and forms of indoor air diffusers are also increasing, such as low-temperature air outlets suitable for large temperature difference technology, and air outlets that consider switching between winter and summer seasons. Currently, air diffuser performance testing devices are limited to the determination of isothermal air outlets, and there is a lack of standardized experimental platforms for non-isothermal air outlets and seasonally switchable air outlets with temperature requirements.

In January 2009, a new research project on the development of a cold and hot air diffuser performance testing device for energy saving was established with Shanghai University of Technology. The cold and hot air diffuser performance testing device to be developed in this project will make up for the technical and energy-saving requirements in the air diffuser industry, and will also promote the development of energy-saving and multi-functional air diffusers, thus its social effect on energy saving and emission reduction is immeasurable. At the same time, the research and development of energy-saving and multi-functional air diffusers will also bring huge economic benefits. Large temperature difference air outlets and low-temperature air outlets will help to promote the realization of large temperature difference air conditioning technology and cold storage air conditioning technology. Its economic benefits are also enormous. Because the industry's new technology applications require such a device, the testing device developed this time can also be opened to the public to help other manufacturers test air diffuser products or conduct third-party testing. It will promote the development of air diffusers and make up for the lack of air testing devices in other domestic manufacturers.
