In recent years, the electronics and pharmaceutical industries have increasingly stringent requirements for indoor air cleanliness levels. The requirements for air cleanliness in modern scientific experiments and production activities are mainly based on four aspects: precision processing, miniaturization of products, high purity of products, and reliability of products. High-efficiency filters are the core of air purification technology.
In January 2009, a new research and development project on a cold and hot air distributor performance testing device was established with Shanghai University of Science and Technology to develop new energy-saving technologies. This project requires the development of an intelligent leakage identification and efficiency detection device for high-efficiency filters to ensure the pass rate of filters upon leaving the factory. Traditional filter efficiency detection methods are limited by the detection methods themselves and can only detect when the overall efficiency of the filter drops to a certain limit. However, filter damage during the production process, resulting in local leakage, cannot be detected by overall efficiency testing. Local leakage can easily cause the cleanroom to fail to meet cleanliness standards, potentially leading to the scrapping of a batch of products and significant economic losses for the user. For manufacturers, defective products leaving the factory also mean increased after-sales service costs, increased production and operating costs, and reduced product competitiveness.
